Terms & Conditions
Important information about reservations, private transfers, guided excursions, equipment rental and tailor-made coastal experiences.
These Terms & Conditions provide general information about services presented through fjord.events. Specific prices, payment arrangements, cancellation conditions and operational requirements will be provided with each confirmed offer or reservation.
1. About Us
fjord.events is operated by Fjord Guiding AS, Norway. The website presents coastal experiences, private transport, guided activities and other services intended for guests visiting Byrknes Ocean Resort and the surrounding region.
Fjord Guiding may provide services directly or coordinate arrangements with independent local operators. The contracting provider for each service will be identified in the applicable booking documents.
Contact: info@fjordguiding.no
2. Enquiries and Booking Confirmation
Sending an enquiry through the website, email or another communication channel does not create a confirmed reservation.
All services are subject to availability, operational feasibility and confirmation. A booking is confirmed when the relevant provider issues an explicit booking confirmation.
Selected services may be offered through an online booking platform. In those cases, the conditions presented during the booking process will also apply, subject to applicable law.
3. Prices and Payment
Prices for private charters, transfers and tailor-made experiences are generally provided upon request.
The final quotation or booking confirmation will specify the agreed services, applicable price, payment deadline, accepted payment method and any additional charges.
Unless otherwise specified, additional services or changes requested by the customer may require a revised quotation.
Any applicable taxes or fees will be handled in accordance with Norwegian law and the confirmed offer.
4. Cancellations and Changes
Important: Cancellation deadlines and refund conditions may vary depending on the activity, transport arrangement, charter agreement or third-party provider. The conditions supplied with your specific booking will apply, subject to mandatory consumer law.
Customers wishing to cancel or change a reservation should contact the booking provider as soon as possible.
Changes to dates, departure times, participant numbers or requested services are subject to availability and may affect the price.
No general cancellation deadline or refund percentage is established by this page.
5. Weather and Operational Conditions
Coastal activities and transport services are affected by weather, sea conditions, visibility and other operational factors.
The captain, guide or responsible operator may adjust the route, departure time, activity or operating arrangements when necessary for safety.
Where conditions prevent safe operation, an activity may be postponed, modified or cancelled. Any alternative arrangements or refunds will be handled under the applicable booking conditions and mandatory law.
6. Private Transfers and Boat Charters
Private transport services are arranged according to the agreed route, departure location, passenger numbers and schedule.
Estimated journey times may change due to weather, sea conditions, traffic, operational requirements or other circumstances.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate travel details, including flight information, arrival times, luggage requirements and passenger numbers.
Vessel or vehicle type, capacity, luggage limits and any waiting-time arrangements will be confirmed for the individual booking.
7. Guided Excursions and Activities
Guided excursions may include RIB safaris, lighthouse visits, cultural experiences, fishing, kayaking, diving and other outdoor activities.
The exact itinerary, duration, inclusions, meeting point and participant requirements will be specified before confirmation.
Some activities require a minimum level of fitness, previous experience, certification or specific safety equipment.
Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions provided by guides, captains and activity leaders.
8. Equipment and Vehicle Rental
Proposed rental services may include bicycles, kayaks, boats, vehicles and other equipment.
Rental availability, eligibility, insurance arrangements, deposits, security requirements and any additional conditions will be confirmed separately.
Customers must use rented equipment responsibly and comply with applicable laws, instructions and agreed rental conditions.
9. Participant Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the participants in their booking and for arriving at the confirmed meeting point at the required time.
Any relevant mobility limitations, accessibility needs or circumstances affecting safe participation should be communicated in advance.
Participants must comply with applicable safety requirements, including the use of provided safety equipment where required.
10. Children and Age Requirements
Minimum ages and participation requirements may vary between activities and transport services.

Parents or guardians should confirm suitability before making a reservation.
11. Third-Party Services
Some experiences and services may be delivered by independent local partners, including transport companies, guides, activity providers and equipment rental operators.
Where a third party is the contracting service provider, its applicable conditions will be communicated as part of the booking process.
Fjord Guiding's responsibilities will depend on its role in the individual arrangement and applicable law.
12. Liability and Insurance
Fjord Guiding and any relevant service provider remain responsible for their obligations under applicable law and the confirmed booking agreement.
Outdoor and marine activities involve inherent risks. Customers are encouraged to ensure that they have suitable travel and personal insurance.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
13. Personal Information
Personal information collected in connection with enquiries and bookings is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy .
14. Complaints and Customer Service
If you experience a problem with a booked service, please inform the responsible operator as soon as reasonably possible so that the matter can be assessed and, where appropriate, addressed.
